Job Description

Job Summary

The Chemical Engineer will support process design, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities at BaRupOn's chemical operations facility in Liberty, TX. This associate-level role includes hands-on support for batch processes, production optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and documentation. Ideal candidates bring technical experience in chemical or industrial operations, strong analytical skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day chemical production, including batch mixing, monitoring, and adjustments
  • Assist with troubleshooting chemical processes and plant equipment issues
  • Conduct routine checks on temperature, pressure, and flow data for process consistency
  • Review and update P&IDs, SOPs, and chemical safety documentation
  • Participate in quality control testing and ensure production meets specifications
  • Monitor waste streams, environmental controls, and regulatory reporting
  • Work with maintenance and safety teams on planned outages and inspections
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and yield optimization

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Chemical Technology, Process Engineering, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, processing, or industrial plant support
  • Familiarity with chemical safety protocols, batch operations, and quality standards
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, P&IDs, and process specifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar data tracking/reporting tools
  • Effective communicator and problem-solver in fast-paced production environments
  • Willingness to work in an on-site, plant-based setting

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • HAZWOPER Certification
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Familiarity with PLC interfaces or control systems (a plus)
