Responsibilities:The IP Supervisor - Patent Attorney/Agent - is responsible for supervising the IP team, dockets, records and budget. This includes the development, filing and prosecution of US and foreign patent applications, maintenance of the companys patent portfolio and clearance of new and revised product designs. Counsel and provide relevant coaching to company personnel regarding IP matters.Assist outside counsel and in-house Legal with potential or existing IP litigationEvaluate the patent portfolio with the supervisor for payment of maintenance feesMaintain the IP departments virtual patent label programAssist the Legal Team with IP licensing and other technology agreementsUpdate competitive patent intelligence for Executive ManagementEvaluate competitive products for patent infringementCoordinate with marketing to manage the trademark portfolioMust have current USPTO registration as a patent agentBachelors in technical disciplinePatent Agent experience minimum 5 yearsMinimum 2 years supervisory experience (preference in leading an IP team)
