We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** In this role you will: + Observe, report, and document patient's physiological and psychological status by using the nursing process based upon established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and/or Standards of Care/Practice. + Provide and document information on patient care. + Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. + Serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's right to privacy by protecting confidential information. + Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm or potential harm. Job Requirements: + High School Diploma or GED required + Vocational or Technical Degree such as Emergency Medical Technician is preferred + 2 Year Associates Degree preferred + BLS within 90 days of employment required + One year of experience preferred HCA Florida West Hospital is a 515-bed facility.
