Job Description

Talis Group’s client, a well-established metal fabricator located in the Southend of Louisville. This employer is seeking a Temporary Accounting Clerk to assist the accounting team for 4-6 weeks. This role will focus on accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations, and general accounting support to ensure smooth daily operations. The hourly pay is $22-$25/hour (based on experience.) The hours are Monday-Friday, either 7am-3:30pm OR 8am-4:30pm (flexible scheduling.) 

 

Highlighted Duties:

• Process supplier bills & invoices in Accounts Payable.
• Manage weekly check runs & ACH submissions, ensuring accuracy & attention to payment terms.
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements & post to the General Ledger.
• Prepare & submit customer invoices, including portal submissions.
• Assist with posting cash receipts & customer collections as needed.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Prepare journal entries for daily transactions and month-end close.
• Support annual physical inventory & other accounting projects.
• Maintain filing systems for vendor & customer records.
• Communicate promptly & professionally with vendors & customers.

Highlighted Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience. 
• Experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with Epicor or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Familiarity with AP automation systems & ACH vendor payments a plus.
• Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook.)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational & time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently & manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
