Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and certified VMware Expert with in-depth knowledge of Dell EMC VMware node servers , data center migration , VCX , NSX , and VMware design and architecture . The ideal candidate will lead complex virtualization projects, architect enterprise-grade solutions, and execute seamless migrations in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. VCDX certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of enterprise VMware infrastructure solutions across data centers using Dell EMC server nodes.
- Execute complex VMware server migrations , including compute, storage, and network migrations, across physical and virtual environments.
- Architect and deploy VMware NSX environments for advanced networking, security, and automation.
- Utilize VCX to manage and optimize virtual environments in compliance with enterprise standards.
- Drive full lifecycle data center migration projects , including assessments, planning, execution, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and create scalable VMware architecture solutions.
- Develop and document high-level and detailed design artifacts including logical, physical, and topology diagrams.
- Provide expert guidance in implementing vSphere , vSAN , vCenter , NSX-T , SRM , and vRealize Suite .
- Optimize and automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, and vRealize Automation (vRA).
- Ensure all VMware environments meet security, compliance, and high availability standards.
- Mentor junior team members and provide knowledge transfer to internal IT teams.
Required Qualifications:
- VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert) certification is required.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level VMware environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Dell EMC VMware node servers and associated storage systems (VxRail, PowerEdge, etc.).
- Proven experience with VMware NSX (NSX-T preferred).
- Deep understanding of VCX platform and its use in managing large-scale virtual environments.
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade virtual data centers and migration strategies.
- Expertise with vSphere 7.x/8.x , vCenter , vSAN , vMotion , SRM , and vRealize Suite .
- Proficiency in creating detailed infrastructure architecture and design documents .
- Experience with hybrid cloud integration and migration (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with automation tools like PowerCLI, Ansible, vRA, or Terraform.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Dell EMC storage platforms such as Unity, VMAX, or PowerStore.
- Experience in multi-site high availability and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Understanding of enterprise IT compliance and security frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Strong project management and client-facing communication skills.
